Frequently Asked Questions

What are the options for coverage?

To keep things simple, I have two options – shorter day and longer day. The shorter day package covers from a minimum of two hours before the ceremony until the couple is seated for dinner. The longer day coverage starts at the same time and covers speeches, first dance and lasts until the guest dancing is well underway. Please drop me an email through the contact form for a detailed run-through of coverage options.

Do you shoot nationwide?

Yes, I’m open to shooting weddings anywhere in Ireland.

Do you have a travel charge?

Currently, no. I’m based in south Co. Kildare, which enables me to cover a lot of the country fairly easily.

Are you insured?

Yes, I’m fully covered.

How many photographers will there be on the day?

I prefer to work solo, unobtrusively covering all aspects of the day myself and maintaining a consistent style. When it comes to the morning preparations, I always look to document both the bride’s and the groom’s if at all possible. If this is not possible due to long distances between locations or other logistics, I can source a second photographer for extra coverage.

Do you provide packages that include videography?

Currently, no. I am solely focused on the photography end of things but I can, within a day or two of you booking me, source several high quality videographers for you that are available on your day and are within your budget.

Do you do formal family photos?

Yes. If you would like to set aside time for group photos that’s no issue at all. These shots are generally very important to your families – the first ones to hit the mantelpiece. Approximately six to eight separate groupings is optimal though – best to get them done quickly before hunger and thirst kick in…

Do you do couples portraits?

Yes, although I am predominantly a documentary photographer I would usually aim to take the couple off for a few relaxed portraits before heading back to the action. This can often be the only window you get all day to have a breather, compare notes and let everything sink in. I’ll just place you in nice light and do my thing quietly around you with minimal (to be honest probably zero) elbow-bending or chin-tilting. And if you don’t want to do any of these type of photos – no problem!

How many images do you deliver?

There is no set delivery amount, but as a general guideline for a full day it usually ends up at 450+ fully edited images.

How do we receive the images and when can we expect them?

When I finish editing them, I will upload the images in high resolution to a downloadable gallery where they will stay for at least sixty days. You (or anyone you allow to access the gallery) are free to download the lot as many times as you like within that timeframe. Delivery times vary throughout the year but four-to-eight weeks is generally the timeframe (eight weeks maximum).

Do you supply albums?

Yes, I offer high quality wedding albums. A sample album is available to view here. If you prefer you can wait until after the wedding to order your album – there is a 15% discount if the album is ordered within 30 days of your photos being delivered.

How do we secure our date?

A €300 booking fee will ensure your date is confirmed.

Is there a contract?

Yes, it lays everything out in detail. I will send you a draft for review, and if you’re happy with everything both parties then sign electronically.

Please get in touch via the button below for prices or if you have any other questions I haven’t covered. It would be great to chat over anything related to your day.
