A beautiful, scorching day spent Boyneside with Aoife, Dan, baby Oisin and their families and friends.
On the grounds of Slane Castle, but situated well away from civilisation down a long and dusty track, Rock Farm is somewhere that allows you to just disappear off the face of the earth for a couple of days and is a beautiful setting for a wedding. Aoife and Dan and their guests made the most of it and like at all the best Irish weddings, strangers at the start of the day had evolved into best pals by the end. I loved walking around and taking it all in.
Being a documentary wedding photographer focused on people, a festival-style wedding is always a joy to experience. I have time to absorb information about the people I’m photographing, their connections and histories, and space to move around and blend in unobtrusively. In 30°-plus heat, well, it’s like being on holiday.
Thank you Aoife and Dan for having me along and trusting me to capture the day for you.
